Jersey and France, May
G-GOTC outside the Aeroclub in JerseyIn May we teamed up with our friends Vince and Karen and a group from Cabair's Denham School of flying to tag along on their trip to the channel islands and northern France.  Vince and I flew Grumman Cougar G-GOTC, whilst Charlotte and Karen took Vince's PA28 G-AYUH.

The first stop was Jersey where we stayed overnight, parked at the Aeroclub.

Charlotte at the controls of G-AYUHThe next day we ventured down to Dinard in northern France to clear customs and for lunch.  On the way we flew past Mont St. Michel, though unfortunately no usable photographs due to poor visibility and the exclusion zone, however the ancient walled town of St. Malo was stunning.

St. MaloAfter lunch we flew cross country to Quiberon on the south Brest peninsula where we spent the night.  The next morning the land was clear  but just out to sea a fog bank came rolling in - we all got airborne just in time and  a couple of hours later were safely in Deauville near Le'Havre.

The Dome and Isle of DogsAfter this we split company from the DSF crews and went on to Le Touquet for the final evening.

Next day we took advantage of flying the twin to transit across London and back to Denham.
