What happens when we get to the airfield? PDF Print E-mail
When I fly passengers who haven't flown in a light aircraft before, I will normally have arranged get to the airfield in advance and have prepared the plane, checked the weather and prepared the route.

Denham School of FlyingWhen you arrive we will normally get a tea or coffee and will talk through the plans for the trip. This will include looking at an aeronautical map to discuss the route and the weather computer. This can normally be made as detailed or brief as you like depending on your level of interest.

Next any remaining paperwork for the flight needs to be completed. This includes checking the technical status of the aircraft.

The Pilot CentreAs passengers, you will probably need to fill out your names on the plane hire sheet and/or the flying club guest membership book.

Next we will go out to the aircraft. I will normally have already checked the aircraft but for your interest I will give you a brief tour and repeat some of the checks.

Finally we will make ourselves comfortable in the aircraft ready for the flight.
